REGINA -- Saskatchewan will butt out, banning smoking in all public places as early as next year, Health Minister John Nilson said Tuesday after civic leaders overwhelmingly voted for a smoking ban.
"That's clearly been my goal, to do it as soon as possible," Nilson said.
"I think Jan. 1, 2005, is a day that is workable and we'll be trying to shoot for that."
