Dear ,

After almost 32 years, I will be retiring as CEO of the Lung Association at the end of December.  I am very pleased to announce that Susan Cron has been recruited as the new President and CEO of the Lung Association, Saskatchewan beginning in January 2017.

Susan is an exceptional, experienced leader who has made significant contributions during her career in the public and not-for-profit sectors. She has very strong credentials and a remarkable track record working in a health charity. Susan’s personal mission will be to focus on the growth and sustainability of the organization so that we may continue our good work in serving those affected by lung-related illnesses.

Susan will be joining the Lung Association just as we are adopting a new brand that you will see in this newsletter. There is excitement about these changes and the new focus on the positive aspects of breathing. Together, the staff, board and volunteers of the Lung Association, Saskatchewan will continue to pursue the vision of healthy lungs for everyone.

the Little Lungs

The Take Action on Radon Saskatchewan Coalition along with the Saskatoon Public and Catholic school boards are encouraging everyone to test their homes for radon.  Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer.

Our goal is to test 2,017 homes where little lungs are present, in 2017!

During the month of November, families can purchase a radon detector through www.littlelungs.ca for a discounted price of only $20, which is a savings of 60 percent!

Christmas Seals

Christmas Seals

Christmas Seals are a vital part of The Lung Association’s history. The seals symbolize much of what this holiday season is all about:

To care for our fellow human beings. To give back. To make a difference. To save lives.

A reminder that almost 100 years ago Canadians first came together to help people who were suffering terribly with tuberculosis—and they made an incredible difference. You and your fellow Canadians are still coming together to help people with lung disease!  Your generous support of The Lung Association brings hope to millions of Canadians across this country who struggle to breathe.

Let your Christmas letters spread joy and save lives . . . Support Christmas Seals today!
